It weaves a tale of greed and selfishness in a refreshingly humorous manner, bringing to life a cast of characters that are expertly portrayed through the skillful narration. The dysfunctional family at the center of the story is in disarray, and their unresolved conflicts make for an engaging plot. Mr. Redd, the patriarch of the family, is portrayed as a clueless figure who is out of touch with his children's desires and motivations.
