A Bitter Pill

Dr. Will Spencer is an overworked, exhausted GP, who is trying to battle the increasing demands his job entails. When a young woman enters his surgery and informs him of some terrible news, Will's life is turned upside down.

Rocked by this news, and the impending feeling of dread and responsibility, Will is forced on a journey of self-examination and questions not only can he return back to his former life, but if he even wants to.

Our Comments on the film:

‘A Bitter Pill’ is one of our proud winners this season. Alex Francis brings out the real emotional struggles of Dr. Spencer in all our minds. The powerful screenplay is concise and brings out the stress of overwork and how the guilt plays his mind, all in a short span. Camera, works along beautifully. Very well made film and a wonderful tribute to the warriors of the NHS.
