Kalliope’s From Fear to Freedom

Updated: Jul 14, 2022

Synopsis:

From Fear speaks to people living in fear. The National Institutes of Health says millions of people in the United States suffer with uncontrollable fear. It holds them back from living their life with freedom. But, there is hope. Watch Rachel overcome her debilitating fear of heights; documented before, during and after Kalliope guides her through a process. When Kalliope lets go of her hand, Rachel is finally free from fear as she stands on a ledge overlooking a valley, with arms wide open—an inspiration to us all.

Our Review:

This short film gives viewers a real life glimpse into the anxieties faced every day by millions who have uncontrollable fear. Anxieties that aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. We all know it's only in the head and not true, but how does one let it go? Most of the times its difficult to even share these for the fear of being laughed at. Unlike Rachel, many mask their fear and learn to live with it. Few come forward with the determination and open up, seek support, work on it and face their fear heads on. This film gives an opportunity to realize there is support for everything but only when there is a urge to over come it.

Director Statement I love helping people overcome their fears and any memories that make them feel bad. It’s a dream come true to document people overcoming their fear through my work with them.
