Synopsis
A unique film about intense love between two people living in a surreal world. It’s a beautiful celebration of desire and extreme passion. The connection between both characters is controlled by dreamlike forces of love.
I love you so much that…..
Our Review
An art film which has an interesting aesthetic appeal, with black and white, film grain, aspect ratio giving it a vintage look. The sequences are well segmented. The music matches the rhythm of every scene and is well edited. The plot of the film is entirely underlying as subtext, and the overall story is quite good. Some of the metaphors in the film are difficult to comprehend, and watchable for the sense of aesthetic, which is great.
Director Biography - Davide Chiazzese
Davide Chiazzese is an actor, budding director and aspiring playwright who has made his mark on the theatre scene in Montreal in the last few years. His most notable performance was in the city’s English language premiere of Michel Tremblay’s Hosanna, a Quebec classic. The production garnered much success, taking home 4 METAs (Montreal English Theatre Awards), including one for Davide’s performance in the Best Supporting Actor category, as well as being named one of Montreal’s Heroes for the LGBT community in Fugues and was listed in the Gazette as one of ‘The 20 Hottest Montrealers of the Year’ in 2015.
Davide was introduced to the performing arts at a very young age, as his father was involved with l’Associazione Trinacria, an organization devoted to maintaining Sicilian culture in Quebec through theatre, music and folklore dancing. After graduating from the Professional Theatre Program at John Abbott College, where he was awarded both the Karla Napier Scholarship and the Pamela Montgomery Award, Davide became an Artistic Associate of Teesri Duniya Theatre. This theatrical company is dedicated to producing, developing and presenting socially and politically relevant theatre, based on the cultural experiences of diverse communities. During his time there, he performed in main stage productions, staged readings and began his training as a director by completing a comprehensive directing mentorship in collaboration with The Other Theatre’s Stacey Christodoulou. Davide was also invited to Black Theatre Workshop’s Artist Mentorship Program in its inaugural year, as part of the directing program.
Davide has also appeared in a number of commercials, television series and films such as The Lottery, Helix, Being Human and X-Men: Apocalypse.
