This is the fourth time I've participated in a 48 hour film project, and the third film I've directed a film for the project. Out of all my experience participating in the festival this film is by far the most fun and rewarding experience I've had. The team put together by Eileen Slavin and Chris Boylston was the most professional film crew I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The first thing I have to say about this project was it's somewhat familiar uniqueness. It's a complete oxymoron of a description, which is why I feel like it's perfect for describing this film. This film in itself is an oxymoron. Our goal was to take our strengths and try to utilize them outside of our comfort zone. This slightly offbeat, film de femme/suspense/drama/way too serious of a comedy is what came out of these 48 hours. Our actors were able to take what read like a comedy, felt like a thriller, played out as a drama, and made a film that translated, in some way or another, as all three. This project is one of my proudest achievements. The entire cast and crew gave such a brilliant execution of technique with the utmost attention to detail. For a time limit of 48 hours, I believe this film came out better than could possibly be imagined.
