Director Biography - Kim Childers

In 2008, Kim became involved in the entertainment industry as a Producer, Director and Actor when she created a monologue for church that was well received and then two small plays for her community college class. Kim’s first filmed project was a documentary called Harlan County: A Road To Change (2014) which honors the coal mining country where her parents grew up. She has written numerous screenplays uniquely important for women. Believing that there is a great need to empower women in film by creating opportunities in front of and behind the camera, Kim established Kaci Productions. Kaci Productions promotes projects that are geared toward middle class women with a focus on women having lead roles.
